TRANSIT DIRECTOR
Bay Aging Urbanna, Virginia
Professional, salaried, full-time position to oversee the management, administration, operation and supervision of the Bay Transit transportation system and staff. Ensures that program objectives and contracts are in compliance with established guidelines as well as state and federal rules and regulations.
Requirements: Experience directing and managing a transportation program to include all aspects of operations and budget development, financial management, grant writing and report writing. Directs and supervises all special projects for public and contract transit, with special knowledge of human service transportation issues; procurement and maintenance of all vehicles. Working knowledge of the governmental process and its relationship to nonprofit organizations as well as human resource practices for a large public transportation division. Ability to train, develop, manage and direct a large staff that covers almost 3,000 square miles. Excellent interpersonal skills to include written, verbal and listening are essential. Must be organized, detail and task oriented. Excellent computer applications skills including MSWord, Excel and Access programs. Working knowledge of transportation safety and health rules and regulations. Knowledge of local geography is a plus.
Bachelor's degree and related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Full time with excellent benefits. Salary DOQ. Position open until filled.

HOUSING ASSOCIATE:
Glenns Office - The Housing Department is looking for someone who enjoys working with people. Responsibilities include performing outreach and intake for housing applications, mailing verifications, assisting with permits, logging loan payments, letter writing and computer input. Experience with Microsoft Office is required along with good typing skills. Must be dependable, able to work well with the public with limited supervision and have good verbal and writing skills. Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance provider. Annual salary $20,800 + DOQ and excellent benefits.
